El 2025 se consolidó como uno de los años con mayor actividad de conciertos en vivo realizados en México, con algunas de las giras internacionales más importantes. Entre ellas se destacó la exitosa gira de la superestrella colombiana Shakira, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, que marcó un hito en su carrera y en la historia de los shows en el país al abarrotar en 12 ocasiones el Estadio GNP Seguros (antes Foro Sol) capitalino convocando a 65.000 personas cada noche, según cifras de OCESA, para un total de 780.000 boletos vendidos.
La barranquillera se convirtió así en la primera artista en realizar tal número de presentaciones en el emblemático recinto capitalino. El récord anterior en el estadio lo tenía Grupo Firme, con nueve conciertos. Bad Bunny ofreció ocho shows en diciembre como parte de su gira DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Con un total de 28 conciertos en el país, Shakira se anotó la hazaña de vender un millón de boletos, de acuerdo con dicha promotora.
México se ha convertido en los últimos años en el epicentro de los shows en vivo en todo Iberoamérica, donde las estrellas internacionales inician sus giras mundiales, tal como sucedió en 2025 con figuras como Katy Perry, Linkin Park y Alejandro Sanz, por mencionar algunos.
Los escenarios mexicanos también recibieron a Lady Gaga, quien regresó al país después de 13 años para llevar la impactante escenografía estilo ópera que conquistó a Coachella al Estadio GNP Seguros durante dos noches en abril. También recibieron a Oasis, que volvió tras 17 años de ausencia para ofrecer dos conciertos sold out en el mencionado estadio en septiembre, dando inicio al tramo latinoamericano de su tour.
Bajo ese parámetro, se espera que el 2026 supere las visitas internacionales a territorio mexicano, con algunas de las giras mundiales más aclamadas ya con fechas programadas en Ciudad de México. La legendaria banda australiana AC/DC regresará después de 17 años para dar un concierto en abril en el Estadio GNP Seguros. Otro de los retornos más esperados por los mexicanos es el de la estadounidense P!nk, que volverá en 2026 como parte de su gira Carnival para ofrecer dos shows en el mencionado recinto.
